Sometimes secondary surgical procedures may be necessary following the initial mastectomy and breast reconstruction. Among these are implant exchange and revision procedures on the breast, as well as revisionary procedures designed to improve the appearance of flap reconstructions. Contour abnormalities in a reconstructed breast may be addressed using a variety of surgical approaches.
