Wound healing is multifactorial and requires careful management. As a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Asfa is uniquely qualified to optimize and improve healing of various wound types, including large wounds, wounds that are in sensitive areas (such as the face, hands and feet), post-surgical wounds that are not healing properly or have become infected, and wounds with exposed vessels, nerves or bone.

Dr. Asfa is renowned for his expertise in complex wound management. Depending on the severity of the wound, he may perform a debridement of the wound in-office or at the hospital. Other situations may require him to perform a skin graft or skin flap to optimize rapid and efficient wound healing.
